Immersing ourself in natural environments helps us to increase feelings of connectedness to the world. This contributes to increasing our happiness level. Nature has been considered as a great healer. Exposure to nature boosts our mood and increases pleasant feelings. Being in nature, or even just viewing it, lowers anger, fear, and stress. This is why, whenever I get time, I always prefer to spend time near to nature.

Thanks to natural surrounding in our village, there are many beautiful gift of nature that makes the place very soothing especially the area that has water💧. In villages we have water reservoir in the form of lakes. This lakes serves multi purpose needs of the people. But for me it helps in providing a soothing sight, that help me getting relaxation. The calm, reflective surface of water is inherently tranquil. The sight can satisfy the deep seated need and foster a sense of peace and belonging.

While the rural areas have many natural lakes in their region, the city have many made lakes in the parks to make visitors to enjoy the tranquility of the peace. No doubt the sight of water always refreshes us, this is why lakes were developed in the parks.

Lakes provide a soothing sight to human beings. The gentle, rhythmic movement of small ripples on the lake surface can be mesmerizing and calming to the human nervous system. The natural sounds associated with lapping of waves against the shore, the rustle of nearby trees, and bird calls are often perceived as comforting "white noise," which can mask stressful urban sounds and lower physiological stress responses.

I always get fascinated with water surface. Even in my recent trip to Varanasi, I spent 4-5 hours sitting alone on the along the bank of Ganga River. It helps in enhancing focus and attention, reducing mental fatigue and stress. It is one of the sacred space where you can easily make retrospective analysis on your life.

In essence, the combination of calming visual patterns, soothing sounds, and psychological benefits of being in nature makes the sight of a lake universally restorative and peaceful.
