Currently, Korean restaurants are experiencing growth in my city. I believe this is due to the positioning of K-pop culture, which is becoming an increasingly important part of our consumer tastes, not only in music, but also in fashion, movies, videos, etc. This growth has led more and more people to discover the richness of this cuisine, especially in major cities where restaurants of this type are opening.
This weekend, some coworkers and I had plans to go to the movies, but due to a power outage at the mall where the movie theater chain we were going to is located, we had to forget about that part of the plan. However, we decided to go out to dinner and try a Korean restaurant called Vivigo, or @vivigokoreanfood as it is known on social media. The place is beautiful, cozy, and modern, with lighting and cleanliness that told us it was a place that pays attention to detail, the perfect atmosphere to enjoy a good meal with friends.
One of the employees was very friendly and showed us explanatory videos about the dishes, explaining and detailing the preparation and ingredients of each one, which greatly enriched the experience.
After reviewing the menu, we decided to start with some Mandu, which are Korean dumplings filled with a soft texture and delicious flavor. Next, we ordered chicken and vegetable ramen; this was my first time trying it with chopsticks, which was a challenge I enjoyed, and it was truly exquisite, with deep and interesting flavors. Finally, we ordered a dish of pork in honey sauce, with tender pieces and a perfect balance between sweet and salty.
Without a doubt, I recommend a visit for those who want to immerse themselves in authentic and vibrant Korean cuisine. The menu was much larger, so I hope to return to continue trying and tasting new flavors and dishes for my palate.
Actualmente, los restaurantes de comida coreana están experimentando un crecimiento en mi ciudad, creo que se debe al posicionamiento de la cultura Kpop que cada día forma parte de nuestros gustos de consumo no solo musicales, sino también en moda, películas, videos, etc. Este crecimiento ha llevado a que cada vez más personas nos animemos a descubrir la riqueza de esta gastronomía, especialmente en las principales ciudades donde aperturan restaurantes de este tipo.
Este fin de semana algunos compañeros de trabajo teníamos un plan de ir al cine, pero por una caída de energía eléctrica en el centro comercial donde está ubicada la cadena de cines que íbamos, tuvimos que olvidar esta parte del plan. Pero decidimos ir a cenar y conocer un restaurante coreano llamado Vivigo o @vivigokoreanfood como se consigue en RRSS. El lugar es hermoso, acogedor y moderno, con una iluminación y limpieza que ya nos decía que era un lugar que cuida los detalles, el ambiente perfecto para disfrutar una buena comida entre amigos.
Uno de los trabajadores fue muy amable y nos mostró videos explicativos sobre los platillos, explicando y detallando la elaboración y los ingredientes de cada uno, lo que enriqueció muchísimo la experiencia.
Al revisar el menú, decidimos comenzar con unos Mandu, que son empanaditas coreanas rellenas con una textura suave y un sabor delicioso. Luego, ordenamos Ramen con pollo y verduras; y esta era mi primera vez probando con palitos, fue un desafío que disfruté, y estaba realmente exquisito, con sabores profundos e interesantes. Finalmente, pedimos un plato de cerdo en salsa de miel, con trozos tiernos y un perfecto equilibrio entre dulce y salado.
Sin duda, una visita que recomiendo para quienes quieran sumergirse en la auténtica y vibrante cocina coreana. El menú era mucho más grande, así que espero volver para seguir probando y degustando sabores y platos nuevo para mi paladar
