It's interesting to see how the Christmas traditions are different all around the world... Usually, on Christmas Eve, we have some meal prepared from fish... It can be cooked or fried fish, but it has to be fish... The "big" meal is usually Christmas lunch (on 25th), when we do have something similar to your dinner, ham, chicken, or something like that...

Btw. I like that you exchange dishes with your neighbors! That's an awesome way to have diversified food on the table, but also a nice connection with people who live next door! In the end, that's the real Christmas spirit, isn't it? 😀 🥂
