
Hi bloggers and food lovers, everyone. Have a great weekend. This one of my favorite dishes, siomai. Because it's vegan so use this ingredients. This time, the main ingredient is, of course, tofu. Do you guys like tofu? This dish is my entry for Qurator's Hive Top Chef! : Vegan by @qurator. Okay, let's get started.
Ingredients:
Tofu Nori Siomai:
- 300 grams of tofu
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1 spring onion
- 1 teaspoon of ground pepper
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons of tapioca flour
- 2 tablespoons of wheat flour
- salt
- 1/2 carrot
- 4 sheets of nori
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
Spicy auce:
- 4 red chilies
- 2 cayenne peppers
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1 tomato
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 100 ml water
- 3 tbsp cornstarch solution
Steps:
Tofu Nori Siomai

- Put the tofu, spring onion stalks, garlic, pepper, garlic powder, salt, and flour into a chopper


- Chop until the ingredients are well mixed


Add grated carrots, chopped green onions, and sesame oil
Stir again
Prepare 1 sheet of nori and divide it into 6 pieces


- Place the mixture on the nori and shape it into siomai


- Top with grated carrots

- Steam for 25 minutes in a steamer coated with sesame oil

- Remove and let them cool
*Spicy Sauce:

- Put red chili peppers, cayenne peppers, garlic, and water in a blender

- Blend until smooth

- Put the chili mixture in a pan

- Add pepper, salt, and chili powder

- Cook until boiling and done

- Before turning off the heat, add the cornstarch solution into the pan

- Once thickened, turn off the heat and let cool
Serving:


- Place the tofu nori siomai on a plate


- Pour the sauce over it or it can also be used as a dip

- The tofu nori siomai are ready to eat
