Hi bloggers and community. Since I had some strawberries on hand yesterday, I decided to make my own homemade strawberry jam. It’s quick and easy to make. The taste is sweet and tart with a thick consistency—just the way I like it. It’s perfect as a spread on bread or as a topping for pudding or cake. Okay, let’s get started
Ingredients:
- 1 cup fresh strawberries
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2tbsp lemon juice
Steps:

Soak the strawberries in baking soda, then rinse them thoroughly under running water
Drain
Remove the leaves from the strawberries

- Place the strawberries in a pan

- Turn on the stove to high heat and wait until they soften; mash the strawberries until they soft and release their juices

- Add the sugar and stir continuously until the strawberry mixture thickens about 10-15 minutes

- Add the lemon juice to the pan to help the jam keep longer

Turn off the heat and let it cool
The homemade strawberry jam is ready to use

- I use this jam as a topping for my strawberry cheesecake, this sweet and tart combination is delicious with my homemade cheesecake
