Hello everyone! We're back in the kitchen today. Since I've been staying home for a long time, I've had time to cook for myself. Of course, I have to come up with new recipes to avoid repetition and boredom. I found some salmon at the supermarket and decided to make salmon rice bowl. It's a dish I've wanted to make for a while but never had the time. Today's the day, so I want to share the ingredients and method with everyone. Let's see what the ingredients and method are:

Ingredients (1 serving)

  • 3 pieces of salmon
  • 1 cup of rice
  • Shallots
  • Garlic
  • Mint leaves
  • Fresh chili peppers (omit if you don't like spicy food)
  • Chili powder (omit if you don't like spicy food)
  • 1 teaspoon of fish sauce
  • 2 teaspoons of lemon or lime juice
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Butter

Method:

  • Wash the fresh salmon thoroughly, removing all the bones. Then cut it into pieces for serving on the side and for mixing with the rice. Wipe with paper towels to prevent water from splashing while frying.

  • Next, sprinkle salt on the fish. Then, fry the salmon in butter. Heat a pan, add butter, then add the salmon you want to fry. Fry slowly to prevent the salmon from breaking apart. Fry until the salmon is cooked, then remove and set aside. Next, prepare the salmon for tossing.

  • Once everything is ready, mix the rice with the salmon. We used a mix of brown and white rice, depending on your preference. If you don't eat rice, you can use quinoa. Before mixing with the salmon, season with fish sauce and lime juice, then mix in the salmon.

  • Mix everything well, taste, and adjust the seasoning as needed. Once you've achieved your desired saltiness or sourness, add the shallots, garlic, chili powder, fresh chilies, and mint leaves. Mix everything together and prepare to serve.

  • Serve, arranging the dish alongside the fried salmon from the first step. This time, I had shrimp, so I served that with it as well. Before serving, if the salmon looks dry, add a drizzle of olive oil mixed with garlic. This is optional and depends on your preference.

That's it for the Salmon Rice Salad! It's a dish I enjoy making because it's easy. It might seem complicated because you have to prepare each ingredient, but if you make it yourself, it's not a problem; it's easy and stress-free. The amount of ingredients can be increased depending on the number of servings. If you want to try this recipe, give it a try; I guarantee it's delicious. I hope everyone enjoys my post.
