Diciembre está casi por terminar y como todo el mundo sabe este es un mes donde la buena comida nunca puede faltar. Increíblemente la mayor parte de mis mejores Momentos Foodie del mes incluyeron postres, cosa que no me disgustó para nada pero sí me deja en mente que ya a partir de Enero debo comenzar a ponerle freno al azúcar de nuevo. Pero ok, ese es otro tema, el punto de esto es que hoy te compartiré mis mejores Momentos Foodie de Diciembre, esos que tocaron completamente mi corazón y me regalaron una dosis de dopamina bien alta.

Una tradición que me agrada bastante y que simplemente me parece la mejor excusa para invertir dinero en detalles para alegrar a alguien más, porque seamos sinceros ¿a quién no le gusta que le regalen cosas? Bien, el punto es que desde que realizamos la repartición de los papeles con nuestros nombres debíamos regalar alguna chuchería semanalmente hasta que realizáramos el intercambio final. Durante una de esas semanas mi amigo secreto me dejó una nota bastante particular: "tu regalo está en la nevera"

Obviamente corrí intrigada hacia la nevera y apenas la abrí me encontré con una cajita de una Panadería a la que nunca había ido pero que tenía muy buenas referencias de ella. Lo cierto es que adentro había una porción de Torta Tiramisú. Me emocioné como una niña pequeña con regalo nuevo porque, a todas estas, una de mis tortas favoritas es esta y el hecho de que alguien realmente se haya tomado la tarea de indagar tus gustos para darte un buen regalo Foodie es todo lo que está bien en la vida. Este Tiramisú estaba increíble y eso realmente es complicado que lo diga porque en esta ciudad no es muy sencillo conseguir un lugar donde la preparen y que resulte al 100%.

It's a tradition that I really like and that I think is simply the best excuse to spend money on gifts to make someone else happy, because let's be honest, who doesn't like receiving gifts? I was as excited as a little girl with a new toy because, after all, this is one of my favorite cakes, and the fact that someone actually took the time to find out my tastes in order to give me a great foodie gift is everything that's right with life. This tiramisu was incredible, and that's really hard for me to say because in this city it's not easy to find a place that makes it and gets it 100% right.

Una de las cosas que me gusta de aquí es que todos los días tienen un sabor diferente como Torta del Día. En esa ocasión que fui la torta de chocolate era la protagonista de ese Sábado y, de hecho, apenas entré al local mis ojos fueron directo al exhibidor de vidrio en donde se encontraba.
El sabor era muy particular y tenía muchos matices en los que tenías que prestar particular atención. Un 10/10, sin dudar, además el chocolate era de calidad lo cual suma muchos puntos para que esta delicia de torta estuviese en mi Recap Foodie de Diciembre.

One of the things I like about this place is that every day they have a different flavor as their Cake of the Day. On the day I went, the chocolate cake was the star of the show that Saturday, and in fact, as soon as I walked in, my eyes went straight to the glass display case where it was located.

De nuevo mi Amigo Secreto realizó una aparición estelar y esta vez fue con Croissant de Chocolate que simplemente era de otro planeta. No te puedo describrir la cantidad de relleno que tenía este croissant, ¡era descomunal! Es como si hubiesen tomado una tableta de chocolate grande y simplemente la hubiesen dejado derretir lentamente. En la fotografía posiblemente luce pequeño, pero se trata de un postre que podría ser suficiente para dos personas o si decides no compartir es necesario porcionarlo para otros días porque, ciertamente, es una pequeña bomba de azúcar. Once again, my Secret Santa made a stellar appearance, this time with a chocolate croissant that was simply out of this world. I can't describe how much filling this croissant had—it was enormous! It was as if they had taken a large chocolate bar and simply let it melt slowly. It may look small in the photo, but this dessert could easily feed two people. Or, if you decide not to share, you'll need to portion it out for other days because it's definitely a little sugar bomb. Even so, it's the kind of dessert that's 100% worth it, but as my grandmother says: “good things come in small packages”.

Para el último compartir entre compañeros de trabajo quisimos pedir sushi para almorzar. Aunque creo que esta vez nos excedimos un poco en la cantidad pedida y todos terminamos llevando a casa unas cuantas piezas de sushi. Pedimos delivery en un lugar llamado Chef Márgaro que se caractiza particular por sus roles de sushi exageradamente grandes. Fueron en total 80 roles de sushi más una bandeja de camarones rebozados que son simplemente deliciosos. Éramos exactamente ocho personas así que las cuentas daban para que cada uno comiera ocho roles en total aunque esto era un poco difícil dada las dimensiones de cada uno. Es gracioso porque cada vez que pedimos comida en este lugar nos excedemos un poco porque se nos olvida tomar en cuenta las proporciones, pero lo cierto es que comimos delicioso ese día y tuvimos un bonito último compartir de 2025.
For our last get-together with coworkers, we decided to order sushi for lunch. Although I think we may have overestimated how much we needed, and we all ended up taking a few pieces of sushi home with us. We ordered delivery from a place called Chef Márgaro, which is known for its oversized sushi rolls. We ordered a total of 80 sushi rolls plus a tray of battered shrimp, which are simply delicious. There were exactly eight of us, so the math worked out to eight rolls per person, although this was a bit difficult given the size of each roll.
