A finales de noviembre del año pasado se estrenó la última temporada de la famosa serie Stranger Things y debido a esto la franquicia Mc Donald's lanzó una colaboración con esta temática, brindando un menú especial que incluía 6 diferentes opciones entre hamburguesas, helados y postre.
At the end of November last year, the final season of the popular series Stranger Things premiered, and to celebrate, McDonald's launched a themed collaboration, offering a special menu with six different options including burgers, ice cream, and dessert.
En lo personal la serie Stranger Things me gustó mucho y esperaba con ansias su última temporada, por lo que al enterarme de la existencia de los nuevos combos de Mc Donald's quise ir a probar alguno de estos.
Personally, I really enjoyed Stranger Things and eagerly awaited its final season, so when I heard about the new McDonald's combos, I wanted to try one.
Fuimos al Centro Comercial Shopping Curitiba a dar un paseo y ver las decoraciones navideñas y pasando por la feria gastronómica vi un local de Mc Donald's, así que fui a ver qué opciones del menú de Stranger Things tenían disponibles para pedir algo. Por el momento solo quise pedir un postre ya que no íbamos con la idea de cenar y después de pensarlo bien me decidí por pedir una Walkie Torta y un Scoops Sundae**.
We went to the Shopping Curitiba mall for a stroll and to see the Christmas decorations, and while passing through the food court, I spotted a McDonald's. So, I went to see what Stranger Things menu options they had available. At first, I only wanted to order dessert since we weren't planning on having dinner, and after thinking it over, I decided on a Walkie Torta and a Scoops Sundae.
La Walkie Torta no es más que una torta de manzana con masa crujiente de cacao (es por eso sí color) y un relleno dulce, caliente y delicioso de frutos rojos (frambuesas y fresas). La torta viene en una cajita de cartón en forma de Walkie Talkie, como los que usan en la serie y tenía un sabor increíble y delicioso que yo amé.
The Walkie Cake is simply an apple cake with a crispy cocoa crust (hence its color) and a sweet, warm, and delicious filling of red berries (raspberries and strawberries). The cake comes in a cardboard box shaped like a walkie-talkie, like the ones they use in the series, and it had an incredibly delicious flavor that I loved.
El Scoops Sundae se trata del famoso helado Sundae de Mc Donald's pero con otros detalles que le dieron ese toque Extraño de la serie. Esta versión de Sundae está inspirado en la heladeria Scoops Ahoy que vemos en la serie a partir de la tercera temporada. Este helado está compuesto por una base de vainilla, jarabe de fresas y topping de cereal de arroz de color rosa con sabor a caramelo.
The Scoops Sundae is the famous McDonald's sundae ice cream, but with some unique touches that give it that strange feel from the show. This version of the sundae is inspired by the Scoops Ahoy ice cream parlor that appears in the series starting in the third season. This sundae consists of a vanilla base, strawberry syrup, and a topping of pink, caramel-flavored rice cereal.
Las 2 opciones que pedí me gustaron mucho, me parecieron sabrosas y además tenían ese toque único de la serie. No recuerdo cuál fue el precio de cada uno pero se que la compra valió la pena para vivir esta experiencia.
I really liked both options I ordered; they were delicious and had that unique touch from the series. I don't remember the price of each one, but I know it was worth the purchase to have this experience.
