Hace un tiempo probamos por primera vez la comida de Das Arábias en el Centro Comercial Jockey Plaza y la verdad nos gustó mucho, recuerdo que en esa ocasión probamos las esfihas y quedamos encantados con estas, pues, tenían un buen tamaño así como relleno y además su sabor era delicioso, así que esta vez que estuvimos de nuevo en este centro comercial y quisimos cenar algo en la feria gastronómica se nos antojó de nuevo las esfihas de Das Arábias, pero a diferencia de la primera vez esta experiencia fue totalmente diferente y decepcionante.
A while ago we tried the food at Das Arábias for the first time at the Jockey Plaza Shopping Center and we really liked it. I remember that on that occasion we tried the esfihas and we were delighted with them, as they were a good size and filling and also their flavor was delicious. So this time when we were back at this shopping center and wanted to have dinner at the food court, we were craving the esfihas from Das Arábias again, but unlike the first time, this experience was totally different and disappointing.
Pedimos un combo de 10 esfihas surtidas, de las cuales vinieron 2 de cada sabor entre carne, calabresa, queso, pollo y pollo con catupiry. Dividimos las esfihas probando cada uno una de cada sabor y debo decir que a primera vista la de pollo no lucía muy muy bien, así que para comprobarlo decidí probar esa de primera.
We ordered a combo of 10 assorted esfihas, which included two of each flavor: beef, calabrese, cheese, chicken, and chicken with catupiry cheese. We divided the esfihas, each trying one of each flavor, and I must say that at first glance the chicken one didn't look very good, so to be sure, I decided to try that one first.
Efectivamente la de pollo no estaba muy buena, su aspecto era muy pálido y de sabor estaba insípida, además de eso la consistencia del pollo era extraña, como si este estuviera molido. Es por esto que a la esfiha de pollo le di un 2/10.
The chicken one wasn't very good, it looked very pale and tasted bland. Plus, the chicken had a strange texture, like it was ground up. That's why I gave the chicken esfiha a 2/10.
La esfiha de pollo con catupiry era igual, pues el pollo era el mismo solo que contenía catupiry como ingrediente extra y fue por eso que esta estuvo un poco mejor.
The chicken and catupiry esfiha was the same, since the chicken was the same, it just contained catupiry as an extra ingredient, and that's why it was a little better.
La de queso no me encantó pero tampoco estuvo tan mal, solo que el queso parecía estar un poco viejo y eso le dio un toque extraño al sabor.
I didn't love the cheese one, but it wasn't bad either; it's just that the cheese seemed a bit old, which gave the flavor a strange touch.
La esfiha de calabresa estuvo mejor que la de queso a pesar de ser algo parecida, pues también contenía queso pero con rodajas de calabresa, pareciendo casi a una mini pizza.
The Calabrese sausage esfiha was better than the cheese one, despite being somewhat similar, as it also contained cheese but with slices of Calabrese sausage, almost resembling a mini pizza.
Por último probé la de carne que sin duda fue la mejor de todas las esfihas, la carne estaba bastante sazonada y eso aumentó su sabor, siendo esta sin duda mi preferida.
Finally, I tried the meat one, which was undoubtedly the best of all the esfihas. The meat was very well seasoned, which enhanced its flavor, making it my absolute favorite.
Adicional al combo de esfihas también pedimos un par de kibbe frito para probar, pues nunca los habíamos comido antes y queríamos experimentar. No se si el sabor y la calidad de este disminuyó porque no lo habíamos probado antes pero la verdad nos gustó mucho.
In addition to the esfiha combo, we also ordered a couple of fried kibbeh to try, as we had never had them before and wanted to experiment. I don't know if the flavor and quality were lower because we hadn't tried them before, but we really liked them.
Las esfihas si nos decepcionaron bastante porque comparándolas con la primera vez que las probamos esta vez su sabor ni calidad eran los mismos, estaban mucho más simples y básicas y eso nos hizo restarle puntos a este lugar.
The esfihas were quite disappointing because, compared to the first time we tried them, their flavor and quality weren't the same this time; they were much simpler and more basic, which made us deduct points from this place.
