Hello, dear friends! Today I want to tell you about my experience celebrating my birthday with my sister, having a delicious lunch at a place called A&B Book Café, located in Valencia, Carabobo State, Venezuela, in the Concepto La Viña Shopping Center. It's a multifaceted place that serves several functions in one: it's a restaurant, café, bookstore, stationery shop, and library. But the best part is that it's completely themed around the magical universe of Harry Potter (my favorite saga), so you can imagine how this elevates the Potterhead experience for all of us who love the saga.
Hola, queridos amigos hoy quiero hablarles de mi experiencia celebrando mi cumpleaños con mi hermana teniendo un delicioso almuerzo en un lugar llamado A&B Book Café, Ubicado en Venezuela, estado Carabobo, Valencia, en el centro Comercial Concepto La Viña. Es un lugar multifacético ya que cumple varias funciones en una: es un restaurante, cafetería, librería, papelería y biblioteca, pero lo mejor de todo es que está ambientado totalmente en el universo mágico de Harry Potter (Mi saga favorita) así que ya ustedes pueden imaginar como esto eleva la experiencia potterhead de todos aquellos que amamos la saga.
The entire place was beautifully decorated with details alluding to Harry Potter, such as the floating candles in the Great Hall, broomsticks, the Sorting Hat, and even special spots that evoke important places in the saga, such as the famous Diagon Alley.
Todo el lugar estaba bellamente decorado con detalles alusivos a Harry Potter, como las velas flotantes del gran comedor, escobas, el sombrero seleccionador, incluso cuenta con Spots especiales que evocan lugares importantes para la saga como lo es el famoso callejón Diagon.
One detail I absolutely love about this place is that the placemats are no exception to the Harry Potter theme. They're designed to look like pages from the Daily Prophet, and they include information about the restaurant's founding (like a newspaper article). Plus, they come with coloring pages and a crossword puzzle to keep you entertained while your food is being prepared. Isn't that original?
Un detalle muy importante que me encanta de este lugar es que los individuales de las mesas no son la excepción a los detalles que tienen que ver con la saga Harry Potter, estos simulan ser páginas del diario El Profeta, vienen con información sobre la fundación del restaurante (a modo de noticia del periódico) pero además viene con imágenes para colorear y un crucigrama para que te mantengas entretenido en lo que tu comida está lista, ¿no es original?
Let's talk about a very important aspect: the food. I ordered a British burger with grilled chicken breast, tomatoes, red onion, and alfalfa sprouts. It also came with a delicious avocado sauce and a side of potato chips. The burger itself was delicious, although a little dry for my taste. However, the leek sauce is a healthier option to accompany this type of burger. The bun was very soft (something that's very noticeable 😊) and topped with a sprinkle of sesame seeds, which immediately makes a difference, enhancing both the quality and the flavor.
Hablemos de un aspecto importantísimo, la comida. En mi caso ordené una hamburguesa británica con pechuga a la plancha, tomates, cebolla morada y alfalfa, aparte viene con una salsa de aguacate que estaba deliciosa, y una ración de papas chips. El sabor de la hamburguesa estaba delicioso, aunque un poco seca para mi gusto, sin embargo la salsa de salsa de ajoporro (puerros) es una opción más saludable para acompañar una hamburguesa de este tipo. El pan estaba muy suave (algo que se apreciar muy bien 😊) y estaba coronado con una lluvia de ajonjolí, lo cuál marca la diferencia enseguida, elevando la calidad y el sabor.
And what did I decide to pair with all this? Well, of course, with a delicious, sweet, and refreshing butterbeer, which obviously doesn't have alcohol. Judging by the flavor, I think it's made with buttercream, the kind they put on cakes, and it also has a light vanilla flavor. The texture is interesting: thick like a runny flan. I don't know, I think the best way to describe it is like Ponche Crema (that's what we call it in Venezuela). In other countries, it's known as Rompope or eggnog. However, you have to keep in mind that this is just this restaurant's interpretation, since others use different recipes, but I liked it; it was delicious 🤗.
¿Y con qué decidí acompañar todo esto, pues desde luego que con una deliciosa, dulce y refrescante cerveza de mantequilla, la cuál obviamente no tiene alcohol, debido al sabor me parece que está hecha con una buttercream, de esas que les ponen a las tortas, y además tiene un ligero sabor a vainilla, la textura es interesante: espesa como un flan líquido, no sé, creo que la mejor manera de describirlo es como un Ponche Crema (así le llamamos en Venezuela) en otros paises lo conocen como Rompope o ponche de huevo, sin embargo hay que tomar en cuenta que esta es solo la interpretación de este restaurante, ya que en otros manejan recetas diferentes, pero me gustó, estaba rica 🤗.
In the bookstore area, of course they have the entire saga, including the illustrated versions 🤗 😍, but they don't just have Harry Potter books; they have something for everyone, classics like Wuthering Heights, Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice, etc...
En el área de librería por supuesto que tienen toda la saga completa, incluso las versiones ilustradas 🤗 😍, peor no solo tienen libros de Harry Potter, sin para todos los gustos, clásicos como Cumbres Borrascosas, Sensatez y Sensibilidad, Orgullo y Prejuicio, etc...
And the bathrooms weren't spared from the details, as there's a screen there that's constantly showing all eight movies, but the best part is that it's framed like a painting, which in turn gives the impression that it's one of those magical paintings that Hogwarts has, where the characters move.
Y los baños no se salvaron de los detalles, pues allí hay una pantalla que constantemente está transmitiendo las ocho películas, pero lo mejor de todo es que está enmarcado como si fuese una pintura, lo que a su vez da la impresión de que es una de esas pinturas mágicas que tiene Hogwarts, donde los personajes se mueven.
I took advantage of every space in the place to do my Potterhead-style photoshoot. In my opinion, A&B Book Café is a restaurant with character, dynamic and fun, where you can spend an unforgettable and, above all, magical day: the service is top-notch, the food is delicious, and the prices are affordable for most of what's on the menu. Speaking of the menu, I have to say it's very varied, and I find it very original that they decided to name the dishes and drinks after famous books.
Yo aproveché cada espacio del lugar para hacer mi sessión de fotos al mejor estilo Potterhead. En mi opinión A&B Book Café es un restaurante con carácter, dinámico y divertido, donde puedes pasar un día inolvidable y sobre todo mágico: la atención es de lujo, la comida deliciosa, los precios accesibles en la mayoría de lo que ofrece el menú, hablando del menú les tengo que decir que este es muy variado, y me parece muy original que hayan decidido nombrar los platillos y bebidas con títulos de libros famosos.
In conclusion, I had a very happy birthday, thank God, in the best place in the entire city of Valencia to live a different and fun experience.
En conclusión pasé un cumpleaños muy feliz, gracias a Dios, en el mejor lugar de toda la ciudad de Valencia para vivir una experiencia diferente y divertida.
