¿A qué sabe el regreso de BTS? Probando las "Bora-Oreos" de edición especial 💜
¡Hola a todos! Por aquí seguimos en la tarea constante de probar postrecitos deliciosos y compartir la experiencia. Hoy les traigo una reseña muy especial porque se junta la gastronomía rápida con el mundo pop: la colaboración oficial de Oreo x BTS.
Hello everyone! We're back with our ongoing mission of trying delicious sweets and sharing the experience. Today I bring you a very special review because fast food meets the pop world: the official Oreo x BTS collaboration.
El regreso de la banda surcoreana no solo vino acompañado de su nuevo álbum y el anuncio del tour mundial, sino también de ediciones especiales de marcas clásicas. Aunque a Venezuela no llegaron directamente a los anaqueles, gracias a la complicidad y ayuda de unas amigas ARMYs pude conseguir este empaque traído directamente de Estados Unidos.
The return of the South Korean band was not only accompanied by their new album and the world tour announcement, but also special editions of classic brands. Although they didn't hit store shelves directly here in Venezuela, thanks to the help and teamwork of some ARMY friends, I was able to get my hands on a pack brought straight from the US.
Un empaque que enamora / A packaging that enchants.
Lo primero que salta a la vista es el diseño del packaging. La combinación de acabados metalizados y mates jugando en la escala de negro a morado y el caracteristico azul de la marca es preciosa. Desde que lo tienes en la mano se siente como un objeto de colección.
The first thing that catches your eye is the packaging design. The combination of metallic and matte finishes playing across a black-to-purple and the brand's signature blue gradient and is gorgeous. From the moment you hold it, it feels like a true collector's item.
A estas galletas yo las rebauticé con cariño como las "Bora-Oreos" (haciendo el guiño a Bora, el color morado en coreano).
La galleta en sí es de vainilla pero teñida de un morado intenso, y la combinación visual con el relleno es un espectáculo.
I affectionately renamed these cookies the "Bora-Oreos" (a nod to Bora, the word for purple in Korean). The cookie itself is vanilla-flavored but dyed a deep purple, and the visual combination with the filling is an absolute treat.
Sabor e inspiración: ¿A qué saben realmente? / Flavor and Inspiration: What do they actually taste like?
La propuesta de sabor está inspirada en el Hotteok, un postre callejero tradicional de Corea del Sur que va relleno de azúcar morena quemada.
The flavor concept is inspired by Hotteok, a traditional South Korean street dessert stuffed with burnt brown sugar.
Para esta edición especial, la galleta viene con doble crema: la clásica cremita blanca de siempre y una segunda capa de tono arena. En cuanto al sabor, el perfil me recordó muchísimo al de unos hotcakes recién hechos bañados en jarabe de maple.
For this special edition, the cookie features double cream: the classic white cream we all know and a second sand-colored layer. Taste-wise, the profile reminded me so much of freshly cooked hotcakes drizzled with maple syrup.
Tiene un fondo ahumado y ligeramente salado que contrasta con el crocante de la crema. Si me preguntan, es un postre bastante dulce para mi gusto personal, así que les recomiendo acompañarlo con una bebida ligera como un té sin azúcar para balancear. Aún así, ese matiz ahumado hace que sea un sabor interesante del que provoca repetir.
It has a smoky, slightly salty undertone that contrasts with the crunchiness of the cream. If you ask me, it's quite a sweet dessert for my personal preference, so I recommend pairing it with a light drink like sugar-free tea to balance it out. Even so, that smoky touch makes it an intriguing flavor that makes you want to go back for another bite.

Más allá del sabor, lo que realmente hace especial a esta edición es el valor sentimental. Tras una pausa de casi dos años, la banda quiso dejarle guiños directos a sus fans impresos sobre la misma galleta.
Beyond the flavor, what truly makes this edition special is its sentimental value. After a hiatus of nearly two years, the band wanted to share direct messages with their fans, stamped right onto the cookies.
Al abrirlas te puedes encontrar con:
- Diseños del ARMY Bomb (el lightstick oficial) y el logo de la banda.
- El clásico "corazón coreano" hecho con los dedos.
- Frases grabadas como "Cada giro nos lleva a nosotros", "Nuestra felicidad BTS ARMY" o "Nuestro universo ARMY".
When you open them, you can find:
Designs of the ARMY Bomb (the official lightstick) and the band logo.
The classic finger heart.
Engraved phrases like "Every spin leads to us", "Our happiness BTS ARMY", or "Our universe ARMY".
Son detalles sencillos pero cargados de significado que repasan la historia compartida entre la banda y sus fans a lo largo de estos 13 años.
They are simple yet meaningful details that look back on the shared history between the band and their fans over these 13 years.
Al final, más allá de la galleta y el coleccionismo, lo bonito de estos detalles es que se convierten en la excusa perfecta para compartir un momento dulce entre amigas.
In the end, beyond the cookie itself and the collectible aspect, the sweetest thing about these details is how they become the perfect excuse to share a fun moment with friends.
