¡Saludos, gente! ¡Feliz inicio de semana! Llevaba un tiempo sin pasar por aquí para compartir alguna experiencia gastronómica, así que hoy vengo a contarles sobre mi escapada de fin de semana para comer mi confort food: esa comida que, usualmente, me restaura el alma.
Los últimos meses han sido bastante caóticos. Tanto, que ni siquiera había tenido tiempo de salir a comer. Apenas un café o un postre rápido por ahí, así que, por fin, me di el permiso de hacerlo.
Como les he comentado antes, mi confort food es el sushi. Sí, esa comida que a algunos les recuerda su hogar, a mí es la que me hace sentir cómoda. Así que me fui con mi mamá a despejar la mente en un centro comercial y aproveché para invitarla a comer.
Greetings, people! Happy start of the week! It's been a while since I've stopped by to share some gastronomic experience, so today I'm here to tell you about my weekend getaway to eat my comfort food: that food that usually restores my soul.
The last few months have been quite chaotic. So much so that I haven't even had time to go out to eat. Just a coffee or a quick dessert around, so I finally gave myself permission to do so.
As I've told you before, my comfort food is sushi. Yes, that food that reminds some people of home, to me it's the one that makes me feel comfortable. So I went with my mom to clear my mind in a shopping mall and I took the opportunity to invite her to eat.
Honestamente, la idea de comer sushi estaba desde que llegamos, pero nos pusimos a dar vueltas por varias tiendas y, como hacía tanto tiempo que no salíamos, después de cinco horas ya estábamos agotadas 🫠.
Fue tanto el cansancio que, cuando llegamos a la sucursal de ,Bonsay Sushi* en el Centro Comercial Parque Costa Azul, no tenía ni energía para elegir qué comer 😵💫. Estuvimos como 15 minutos pensándolo y al final seleccioné lo primero que vi en el menú.
De verdad que nos hace falta caminar con más frecuencia y por más tiempo, porque aunque caminamos a diario, no lo hacemos por tanto tiempo seguido.
Honestly, the idea of eating sushi was there since we arrived, but we started going around several stores and, since it had been so long since we had been out, after five hours we were already exhausted 🫠.
We were so tired that, when we arrived at the Bonsay Sushi branch in the Centro Comercial Parque Costa Azul, I didn't even have the energy to choose what to eat 😵💫. We spent about 15 minutes thinking about it and in the end I selected the first thing I saw on the menu.
We really need to walk more often and for longer, because although we walk every day, we don't do it for that long.
La primera opción que pedimos fueron unas Croquetas de Cangrejo y té para beber. Eso no lo tuvimos que pensar dos veces, es algo que siempre pedimos.
La segunda elección, que hice casi sin darme cuenta 🙃, fue un Tesla Rolls. Para quienes no lo conocen, sus componentes son: arroz, mayonesa, aguacate, queso crema, camarón tempurizado y kanikama empanizado. Viene acompañado de wakame crujiente con topping de salsa Red Dragon y anguila.
La tercera elección fue un Subarú Rolls, que está compuesto por: arroz, queso crema, aguacate, cebollín, cangrejo, pescado blanco empanizado y un tope de camarones cubiertos con salsa de anguila y un toque de ajonjolí.
The first option we ordered was Croquetas de Cangrejo and tea to drink. That we didn't have to think twice about, it's something we always order.
The second choice, which I made almost without realizing it 🙃, was a Tesla Rolls. For those who don't know it, its components are: rice, mayonnaise, avocado, cream cheese, tempura shrimp and breaded kanikama. It comes accompanied by crispy wakame with a topping of Red Dragon sauce and eel.
The third choice was a Subaru Rolls, which is composed of: rice, cream cheese, avocado, scallion, crab, breaded white fish and a topping of shrimp covered with eel sauce and a touch of sesame.
Como siempre, seré sincera con ustedes: esta vez las croquetas estuvieron espectaculares, ¡10/10! El Subarú estuvo relativamente bien, pero el Tesla... de verdad que no. Había algo en el interior que estaba muy duro y no me agradó su sabor.
No sé si fue el agotamiento, pero no me llevé una buena experiencia. Se supone que el hambre hace que la comida sepa mejor, pero esta vez debo quejarme lamentablemente.
Sinceramente, siento que con el tiempo la calidad de Bonsay Sushi va decayendo, lo cual me entristece mucho porque ha sido una de mis franquicias favoritas desde hace muchos años 🥲.
As always, I'll be honest with you: this time the croquettes were spectacular, 10/10! The Subaru was relatively good, but the Tesla? not really. There was something inside that was very hard and I didn't like the taste.
I don't know if it was exhaustion, but I didn't have a good experience. Hunger is supposed to make food taste better, but this time I have to complain unfortunately.
Honestly, I feel that over time the quality of Bonsay Sushi is declining, which makes me very sad because it has been one of my favorite franchises for many years 🥲.
Creo que gran parte de lo que está sucediendo es que, desde que abrieron el servicio de delivery, la cantidad de trabajo es mayor. Por eso, asumo que tardan más en sacar los pedidos y, queramos o no, la calidad termina decayendo.
Aunque entiendo que actualmente se vende más a través de este tipo de servicio, no creo que la calidad de los platos vaya a mejorar, al menos no es lo que he visto las últimas veces que he ido 😔.
¡Ni modo! Supongo que tendré que empezar a buscar nuevos lugares y dejar atrás uno de mis favoritos para obtener mi confort food, que, por cierto, esta vez no pude encontrar y fue deprimente 💔.
I think that a big part of what is happening is that, since they opened the delivery service, the amount of work is greater. Therefore, I assume that they take longer to deliver the orders and, whether we like it or not, the quality ends up declining.
Although I understand that currently they sell more through this type of service, I don't think the quality of the dishes is going to improve, at least not what I've seen the last few times I've gone 😔.
No way! I guess I'll have to start looking for new places and leave behind one of my favorites to get my comfort food, which, by the way, this time I couldn't find and it was depressing 💔.
Para finalizar, me gustaría saber la opinión de ustedes ¿cuál es su confort food?, ¿les ha pasado que desean comerla y les entristece no haberla encontrado donde habitualmente lo hacían?
