Hello, how are you? Whenever we still have a lot of leftover food from last night, I always just add another dish to it, but not too much, and my mom always buys shrimp every time she goes to the grocery or market, and she ask me to cook buttered shrimp, she ask me if there are still left butter on the fridge luckily still have enough to you for cooking the dish.
Ingredients I Used:
Ingredients I Used:
- 1 tbsp. Cooking Oil
- 6 cloves garlic
- 2 red onion
- Half Kilo Shrimp
- 2 tbsp. Butter
- 1 tbsp. Tomato Paste
- 1 tsp. Fish Sauce
- 1 tbsp. Oyster Sauce
- 1 squeeze lemon
- 1 tsp. brown sugar
- dash of ground pepper
- dash of chili powder
- 1/4 cup water
- 6 boiled eggs
Let's Cook!
Let's Cook!
In a pan, I added a tablespoon of cooking oil.
Then I added the aromatics like garlic and ginger, and sauteed them for about a minute or until the aroma comes out.
And then I added the shrimp and sauteed it alongside the aromatics, let it cook until it changed color to orange, and then set it aside.
Then I added two tablespoons of butter.
Then, a tablespoon of tomato paste for color.
Then, a teaspoon of fish sauce for flavor.
Then a tablespoon of oyster sauce for extra umami taste to the sauce.
And a squeeze of lemon to balance the flavor.
And a teaspoon of brown sugar to thicken and balance the taste at the same time.
And a dash of ground pepper for the spice.
I like my butter shrimp spicy, so I am going to add chili powder, just a dash of it.
When all the condiments and seasonings are added, I am going to add the shrimp I sauteed earlier and let those seasonings seep into them.
Then I added just 1/4 cup of water, just enough to fully cook the shrimp, and then I am going to add the boiled eggs.
Mix everything.
Serve hot and plated.
Happy eating!
