Let’s make an easy dish — Egg Fried Rice 🍳🍚

Hello friends! 👋 I’m back again, and this post will be all about cooking 🍳. Today’s dish is super simple because I’ll just be using ingredients I already have at home 🏠— honestly, I felt too lazy to go outside 😅. So, I looked into my fridge and thought about what I could make with what’s available. The easiest and quickest idea that came to mind was “Egg Fried Rice” 🍚🥚.

  • I’m going to share with you my step-by-step way of making Egg Fried Rice 👩‍🍳✨. If you’re looking for a dish that doesn’t require too many ingredients, I think this one is just perfect 👍. So let’s get started! 🚀

Egg Fried Rice 🍳
The ingredients are as follows:

  1. Steamed rice – 3 cups 🍚
  2. Eggs – 4 🥚
  3. Cooking oil – 3 tablespoons 🛢️
  4. Butter – 1 tablespoon 🧈
  5. Oyster sauce – 3 tablespoons 🦪
  6. Sugar – 1 teaspoon 🍬
  7. Soy sauce – 2 tablespoons 🍶
  8. Salt – ½ teaspoon 🧂
  9. Fish sauce – 1 tablespoon 🐟
  10. Spring onion – 3 stalks, chopped 🌱
  11. Coriander – a handful 🌿
  12. Tomato – 2, sliced 🍅
  13. Carrot – 1, diced 🥕
  14. Garlic – 2 cloves, minced 🧄

Cooking Instructions:

1️⃣Prepare the vegetables 🌱🥕🍅🧄
Chop the spring onion and coriander. Dice the carrot, slice the tomato, and mince the garlic.

2️⃣ Prepare the rice 🍚
Make sure the steamed rice is cooked and slightly cooled. Cold rice works best to avoid stickiness.

Heat the pan 🔥🥘 Add cooking oil (3 tbsp) and butter (1 tbsp) into a pan or wok. Let it heat until the butter melts.

3️⃣ Heat the pan 🔥🥘
Add cooking oil (3 tbsp), butter (1 tbsp), and garlic 🧄 into the pan. Stir-fry over low heat until the garlic becomes fragrant. ✨

4️⃣ Add vegetables 🥕🍅🌱🌿
Add diced carrot, sliced tomato, chopped spring onion, and coriander. Stir-fry gently for freshness and aroma.

5️⃣ Season it 🧂🍶🦪
Add oyster sauce (3 tbsp), soy sauce (2 tbsp), fish sauce (1 tbsp), sugar (1 tsp), and a pinch of salt (½ tsp). Stir well to combine.

6️⃣Add rice + eggs 🍚➡️🥘
Add the steamed rice and eggs into the pan. Stir-fry together until well combined.

7️⃣ Serve & enjoy 🍽️✨
Scoop onto plates and garnish with coriander or spring onion as desired. Ready to enjoy! 😋

Exactly! It’s super easy to make, but so delicious 😋 You can customize the flavor to your own style.

That's an excellent tutorial, and the way I make it is by combining the rice and raw eggs at the same time. My Thai mother-in-law complains that I should cook the eggs first and add them back in at the end, but our way is much better! What do old Thai ladies know, anyway?
