Butter cookies [ENG/ESP]

Once you get a taste for something, you want to try it with every possible ingredient, and in this case, I’ve learned how to make my own cookies—only now, once again, I’m having trouble finding whole wheat flour and oat flour, so I have to improvise.

I recently tried making some bread with this wheat flour, which was a total failure—bread-making is definitely not my thing. But that same day, I took the opportunity to make these cookies, and look how well they turned out.

The ingredients I used were:

  • 200 g all-purpose wheat flour
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • vanilla
  • Baking powder
  • Salt

Preparation:

To make these cookies, I followed almost the same process as with the gluten-free cookies: I put the flour in the bowl, added a pinch of salt and the baking powder.

In another bowl, I mix the butter with the sugar, egg, and vanilla, then beat the mixture.

Add this mixture to the flour and begin to combine it with a spatula until you have your dough.

This is what our dough would look like—see how compact it is. All that was left was to shape the cookies, bake them for about 15 minutes, and that’s it.

Look at these cute little cookies—they rose so nicely, I love them, and best of all, they’re super delicious. Too bad I can’t eat too many of them—they sit heavy in my stomach—but since I’m a masochist, I eat them anyway, hahaha...

I’ll keep looking for a way to learn how to make my own bread. Just like I got the hang of cookies, I hope I can do the same with bread. What do you guys think—will I succeed? 😜 I hope so. I’ll keep you posted.

Cuando le agarras el gusto a algo, quieres probar con todos los ingredientes posibles, y en este caso, he aprendido hacer mis galletas, solo que ahora de nuevo, me cuesta conseguir mi harina integral, la de avena, y así, entonces me toca improvisar.

Hace poco intente hacer unos panes con esta harina de trigo, lo cual fue un fracaso, definitivamente, lo mío no son los panes, porque ese mismo día, aproveche para hacer estas galletas, y miren lo bien que me salieron.

Los ingredientes que use fueron:

  • 200 gr harina de trigo todo uso
  • 1 huevo
  • 2 cucharadas de azúcar morena
  • 2 cucharadas de mantequilla sin sal
  • vainilla
  • Polvo de hornear
  • Sal

Preparación:

Para la preparación de estas galletas, hice casi el mismo proceso, con las galletas sin gluten, la harina en el bol, con el toque de sal y el polvo de hornear.

En otro bol, mezclo la mantequilla, con el azúcar, el huevo y la vainilla, luego lo batimos.

Esta mezcla se lo añadimos a la harina, empezamos a unirlo, con una espátula, hasta obtener nuestra masa.

Así nos quedaría nuestra masa, miren como compacto, ya solo quedaba armar las galletas, llevarlas al horno, por unos 15 minutos, y listo.

Miren estas lindas galletitas, como levantaron, me encanto, y lo mejor super ricas, lastima no puedo comerlas mucho, me cae pesadas, pero como yo soy masoquista, igual me las como jajaja...

Igual seguiré buscando la manera de aprender hacer mis panes, al igual que le agarre el truco a las galletas, espero poder hacerlo con los panes, ustedes que creen, lo lograre.. 😜espero que si, les iré contando.
