Today i would like to share the recipe of Rajma Curry (Kidney beans curry)it is an popular North Indian or Punjabi curry recipe made with kidney beans flavoured with Aromatic and Aromatic Indian spices. It is best paired with Stream Rice, Rajma Chawal combo famous allover the indian and even across the world, kidney beans are healthy and delicious in taste,There are many ways to make rajma, but I have shared the easiest and quickest one-pot recipe. Definitely give this recipe a try; your friends and family will love it!

Ingredients š
For Boiling
⢠1 cup Rajma(kidney beans).
⢠1 tsp salt.
⢠Pinch of Baking Soda.
⢠3 cup water.
For Gravy
⢠2 tbsp ghee.
⢠1 tbsp cumin.
⢠Pinch of Asafoetida.
⢠5-6 cloves.
⢠1 black cardamom.
⢠1 inch cinnamon.
⢠2 onions.
⢠1 Inch of Ginger.
⢠5-6 Cloves of Garlic.
⢠2 Tomatoes.
⢠2 Green Chilli.
⢠½ tsp turmeric
⢠1 tbsp chilli powder.
⢠1 tsp coriander powder.
⢠½ tsp garam masala.
⢠2 tbsp green coriander.

Rinse the kidney beans thoroughly 3 to 4 times in a big bowl, then soak them for 8 hours or overnight.

Once the kidney beans are well-soaked, discard the soaking water and add fresh water to a pressure cooker. Add the beans, a pinch of baking soda, and salt, then pressure cook for 5 to 6 whistles until soft.

Open the pressure cooker and check if the kidney beans are cooked.
Tip: save the boiled water and use it while cooking the gravy to enhance the flavor.

While the kidney beans were boiling, you could have prepared the gravy. Blend tomatoes, onions, garlic, and ginger in a jar into a smooth paste.

Add oil to the same cooker. Add cumin, asafoetida, and all the whole spices mentioned. Saute them until get aromatic.

Now, add the prepared onion-tomato paste to this and stir it well.

Lower the heat, add turmeric, salt, chili powder, and coriander powder, and mix well. Cook until the oil separates from the sides.

Once the masala is ready, add the boiled kidney beans along with their water and mix thoroughly.

Now you can add water, depending on your desired consistency. Cover and simmer for 15 minute or until the flavours are absorbed well.

Mash the rajma slightly to make the gravy creamier, then Also, add garam masal and coriander. Mix well.

Your rajma is ready to serve. Pair it with roti, paratha, or riceāwhatever you feel like eating.
