Today i would like to share Onion Gravy Recipe which is madeup of slicely Fried onion cooked in Aromatic & Flavourful Indian Spices with Fresh Cream. It is served with Indian Bread - Roti or Paratha, even you are Rice Lover then served it with Hot Stream Rice. It is made up of only onions with no other vegetables, it's my recipe, not going get anywhere in internet. As Adding fresh cream adding it creamy texture to your gravy, even it is spicy and Delicious in taste.

Ingredients 📃


• 3 medium size onion.
• 4-5 Cloves of garlic.
• 2 chopped Green Chilli.
• 2 tbsp oil.
• 1 tsp cumin.
• Pinch of asafoetida.
• ½ tsp turmeric.
• 1 tsp chilli powder.
• ½ cup of Fresh Cream.
• 1 tsp kasuri methi, crushed
• 2 tbsp coriander Powder.
• ½ tsp of Garam Masala.
• Salt to taste.

Take three medium-sized onions, peel them, and slice them, then chopped garlic & green Chilli.

Heat the oil in the kadai/pan, then add cumin & asafoetida then Chopped Garlic, saute it untill it get aromatic. Then add slicely onions, saute it untill it get translucent.

Lower the flame, add turmeric powder, red Chilli powder and coriander powder, saute it for a 5-6 second. Be careful there is high chances of burning spices. The advice is to add a little water so your spices don't burn.

Add Kashmiri Lal Mirch powder. Mix it well.

Add fresh cream to this; the sweetness of the fresh cream makes the gravy more delicious.

Mix it well. Now let it cook on low heat until you see oil starting to separate from the sides

Add Garam Masala, You can adjust the quantity of garam masala if you prefer it a bit spicy.

Crush the dried fenugreek leaves between your palms, add them to the curry.

mix well for another 2-3 minutes.

Your Onion Gravy is ready to serve, paired it with your favourite bread - Paratha or Roti, it will be taste more delicious, when paired it with Hot Stream Rice.

Looks really good. Not a fan of red onions, for me they give a milder effect compared to normal onions but I will try this one day.
