Today i would like to share the recipe of Tamaatar Aloo which is madeup of Potato and tomato puree with some indian spices. It is an ideal day to day curry recipe which can be made in quickly with Less ingredients and can be served with poori, roti, chapathi or rice recipe. It is single pot recipe, so you don't have to worry about washing dishes 🤭 I have made this recipe without onion & Garlic but if you wish add garlic and onion you can, one such simple and easy potato-based curry recipe is the aloo tamatar ki sabji which is common in India but everybody has it own way of making it but 'm sharing you the easiest way, try this recipe 'm sure you gonna love it

IngredientsšŸ“ƒ


• 2 potatoes.
• 2 Tomatoes.
• 50 grams of Foxnuts.
• 2 green Chilli.
• 3 tbsp of Oil.
• 1 tbsp of cumin seeds.
• Pinch of asafoetida.
• 1 tbsp of Tumeric Powder.
• 1 tbsp of Red Chilli powder.
• 1/2 tbsp of Garam Masala.
• 1/2 kathuri Methi.
• Salt to taste.
• Green coriander leaves.
• water as required.

Wash in the potatoes,peel it off then Cut it in the shape of cubes, put it in the water to avoid dark colour of potatoes.

In the mixture grinder, add the tomatoes, foxnut and Green Chilli to make the smooth paste as shown in the picture.

Heat the oil in the pressure cooker, you can choose any cooking oil, i have use the refined Soyabean oil.

now add the cumin seeds and asafoetida, wait untill it starts getting sputter.

now add the tomatoes purees in the Hot oil.

lower the flame, add all the spices one after the another, be careful there is high chances of burning spices, add little water to avoid burning. Saute the puree untill it start releasing oil from its sides.

When your masala completely get cooked, then add the Kuthuri Methi, and mix it well.

add the cut Potatoes and add the water to the level of potatoes, Stir it again so that everything mix it well. Cover the cooker with lid, put the weight on.

Pressure cook it for 3 whistles. Then turn off the stove. Let the pressure go down by itself. Then open the lid, Mash gentle the potatoes mix it.It helps to thicken the gravy.

Garnish it with green coriander leaves, Serve the hot Tamatar aloo with the rice, roti or parathan.
