Mi querida comunidad de #foodieslovers, les saludo esperando que todo esté muy bien en sus vidas 🌺.
En esta Publicación les conté que fui a un sitio de comida árabe llamado KLEYOPATRA, donde comimos una bandeja de esta comida, pero su principal atractivo son los shawarmas, así que mi J.J y yo quedamos "con la boca hecha agua" por comerlos.
Aprovechamos la reunión con un amigo en común y que mi madre ha estado de mejor ánimo y salud, para ir a cumplir esa cita pendiente con los shawarmas.
No sé si porque era sábado, quincena, o porque aceptan Cashea (método de pago por cuotas), pero siento que estaba full; o bueno, quizás porque a la gente le gusta mucho ese tipo de comida 😉.
Para iniciar, pedimos unas cervezas, porque allí las venden frías 🍺. Solo tomamos mi vecina y yo, porque los demás se fueron por la opción de batidos de: fresa, melocotón, melón y parchita. Tardaron un poco, pero valió la pena porque estaban geniales.

In this post, I told you that I went to an Arabic restaurant called KLEYOPATRA, where we ate a platter of this food, but its main attraction is the shawarmas, so my J.J. and I were left “with our mouths watering” to eat them. We took advantage of meeting up with a mutual friend and the fact that my mother has been in better spirits and health to go and fulfill that pending appointment with the shawarmas.
I don't know if it was because it was Saturday, payday, or because they accept Cashea (a payment method by installments), but I feel like it was full; or well, maybe because people really like that kind of food 😉. To start, we ordered some beers, because they sell them cold there. Only my neighbor and I drank beer, because the others opted for milkshakes: strawberry, peach, melon, and passion fruit. They took a while, but it was worth it because they were great.
Pedimos también unos falafel, que me confieso fans de ellos, porque son ¡DIVINOS! En sabor, textura y porque llenan bastante 😊. Ya los había probado la vez pasada y quedé con las ganas de comer unos más 😊.

Para los shawarmas, existe variedad; pedimos shawarmas de pollo, mixtos (con carne y pollo) y especiales (con más ingredientes). Los acompañantes fueron salsas tártaras y de berenjenas, si necesitas otra más, solo le pides a los mesoneros y ellos gustosamente te la hacen llegar.
There is a variety of shawarmas available; we ordered chicken shawarmas, mixed shawarmas (with beef and chicken), and special shawarmas (with more ingredients). They were accompanied by tartar sauce and eggplant sauce. If you need more, just ask the waiters and they will gladly bring it to you.
Lamentablemente, el señor que nos atendía era muy lento, pero hay que entender que como estaba full, quizás estaba más comprometido que de costumbre. Eso no impidió que nos atendieran bien, es decir, no fue rápido, pero fue bien.
Con respecto a los sabores, ¡ERA JUSTO LO QUE ESTÁBAMOS BUSCANDO! La salsa estaba deliciosa, el shawarma bien grande y relleno, los vegetales muy frescos. Todo, pero todo, estuvo genial.
Nuestro amigo no pudo ser acompañado por su esposa, por lo que pedimos uno para llevar, así que nos quedamos un rato más y seguimos disfrutando del lugar y la salida del sábado.
En cuanto a los precios, resulta que ciertamente existen lugares donde son más económicos, pero el sabor lo es todo y con $80 fueron 6 shawarmas, dos raciones de falafel, 10 cervezas polar y 5 batidos. Comimos 6 personas, así que cada una fue alrededor de $14. Repito, por menos se puede comer en otro lado, sin embargo, ya habíamos quedado en pasar por allí y "vivir la experiencia".
Todos quedamos satisfechos, superllenos, complacidos por el servicio y pienso que volveríamos, aunque nos dijeron que hay otros sitios donde se puede comer la misma comida árabe y probar otros sabores. No nos negamos a vivir esas experiencias 💯.
Unfortunately, the gentleman who served us was very slow, but you have to understand that since it was full, he was probably busier than usual. That didn't stop them from serving us well; in other words, it wasn't fast, but it was good. As for the flavors, IT WAS EXACTLY WHAT WE WERE LOOKING FOR! The sauce was delicious, the shawarma was large and filling, and the vegetables were very fresh. Everything, absolutely everything, was great. Our friend couldn't be accompanied by his wife, so we ordered one to go, and we stayed a little longer and continued to enjoy the place and our Saturday outing.
As for the prices, there are certainly places where it's cheaper, but taste is everything, and for $80 we got six shawarmas, two servings of falafel, ten Polar beers, and five milkshakes. There were six of us eating, so it came to about $14 each. I repeat, you can eat elsewhere for less, but we had already agreed to stop by and “live the experience.” We were all satisfied, super full, pleased with the service, and I think we would go back, even though we were told that there are other places where you can eat the same Arabic food and try other flavors. We're not opposed to living those experiences 💯.
