That looks delicious! Plus the view is just amazing. You can't really beat that!

Thanks, yes this is really the selling spot of our apartment to be completely fair. The view is unbeatable. Sadly the apartment itself could use a big renovation but we'll suck it up until we move to something of our own.

I'm happy that we can sit outside more often now that we have less windy days again. I love enjoying a first coffee on the balcony and have lunch there :)

It's crazy how bad the wind has been lately. I don't ever remember it being so bad when I was a kid, but now it seems like every Spring we get hammered.

It's the same here, the first year back in Spain in summer 2022 I don't recall these extreme winds in winter at all.. like nothing out of the ordinary.

The next year it was really bad and we even had a window frame being pulled out because of the extreme wind, it stayed in place but we had a HUGE gap (not a fun or safe on a high floor with direct wind on the window lol) it took weeks before the insurance came to check it and then a week more to fix it. So stupid!

In 3 rooms the blinds took such a hit that they needed to be repaired /partially replaced during that winter and then again last winter some more.

But I can also admit that it's not the smartest choice to have such a wind catching apartment on a corner and then using shitty window frames (they litteraly move or close only for 95% haha) and cheap blinds. But hey, we have a young landlady and she's trying her best. At least she has insurance for most things so that helps, lol.

Where we live is also a kitesurfing spot so my boyfriend doesn't mind the wind now that his kite gear is being repaired and almost ready to use again after many years.

:)

Oh wow, that is pretty crazy. I know sometimes you can see our blinds move even though our windows are shut. I think that speaks more to how crappy our windows are versus the actual strength of the wind!

Well, here it's definitely both lol. But the stupid thing is that in the bedrooms there are two layers of windows, still the shitty ones like in the rest of the house but at least their the blinds are protected as they are in between the two window layers. In summer that's ideal as you can open your winwows fully but leave the blinds just a bit open with these tiny holes for some air but no mosquitos being able to enter :)

We are at a true windy spot and the corner of the livingroom catches a lot of wind but I guess soon these extreme winds will be gone for some months until winter :)

That's good about the windows and the mosquitoes, those things are horrible!

Tell me about it! Before moving from Hungary to Spain, I had 2 summers where I had extreme allergic reactions to mosquitos, it was not doable so bad it itched and looked lol. The first years here, same..

Last year, I had two mosquito bites in April I think and after that, none. I would like to continue this path because I had my fair share of mosquito horror. It's the tiger mosquitos that are so horrible and those are the ones we see most here..

How's that on your end of the world?

They get pretty bad when we go camping sometimes, but we have Thermacells that we use to keep them at bay. It helps quite a bit. My wife is allergic too and she breaks out in hives if she gets too many bites.
