Last week, while celebrating our 5th month dating, I decided to take @octocel to a place that was recommended by a friend. The whole day started with the usual trip to get her some flowers. Sunflowers are a nice match with Peruvian lilies. Next, it was meeting my lovely girlfriend at the mall to spend some time talking an waking before going for lunch.
She got us a keychain that works in two parts. One is a cute pig; the other, some kind of lettuce where the pig goes in. It is adorable and funny. I have a new keyholder along my keys. I kept the lettuce to see if that kind of charm brings me more money.
Later, we went to the restaurant. It is called Es Grill. The location is not so hard to find. The thing is that I don't remember of that street's name is Urdaneta or something else. Anyway, the attention in the place was really good. The clerk wasn't shy to make recommendations and give us our time to think the order through. In the end, we ordered some burgers and tequeños.
Since we were two, we had two different kinds of burger. One was beef; the other, grilled chicken. And we share a half with each other. The grilled chicken was far superior to the beef, but both items were amazingly good. Caramelized onions, aeoli, tomato and lettuce, brioche buns. Chicken and beef were not tender and juicy. And the fries were crispy and well-seasoned.
I even got a complementary coffee at the end of the meal. @octocel didn't want any because she was full. I even had to help her with some of her order.
The attention and food were so good that I bet we are going back there to try out some oder items in the menu.
