My parents took me to celebrate children's day. It was a sort of surprise. They even got me to get some new glasses as my were already quite old. So after doing the due diligence of the glasses, we went upstairs in the mall to get some food.
The original idea were chicken sandwiches at Arturo's. This is a chicken franchise. Their friend chicken is cool. I have had it for many years and their season in ok to be chicken and not from the usual places where one buys chciken. There are too many of those around town and any other city in Venezuela.
However, mom wanted to try the burgers at Qdra. And we went there to get some of their options. We settled for a combo of 4 burgers and one soda. It also came with two rations of fries. The burgers where 2 of the same kind. The one I had before, the bacon burger. But there were also two chicken sandwiches. This was the new treat for me.
The bacon burger works fine. It has almost no vegetables and that's the idea. It is almost pure meaty goods.
The chicken sandwich was not the best. The toppings were ok. It comes with a for of coleslaw, pickles and aeoli. But the chicken is were it is lacking. I could not understand the idea behind the seasoning in the chicken patty. Besides, it came with a crust of who knows what. It was not a good sandwich. But I guess you could eat it if you're that hungry. For that reason, Arturo's has better options. Not the best either, but ok.
And so the say of the celebration for children's day came to an end going back home to wait for my glasses to be ready and with a belly full of burgers.
We even had ice cream after the burgers. Talk about feeling like a child again!
