Today started quite early, as I had some errands to run first thing in the morning. Since I didn’t have time to eat at home, we decided to make a quick stop and try a new spot: Ají Picante la 19.
This place is entirely dedicated to empanadas, and wow—the variety is amazing! It took me a while to decide because the menu is pretty extensive, but I finally went with a cordon bleu empanada and a blackberry juice to go with it.
One of the things I liked most about the place was the number of sauces they offer: several options, all really tasty and generously served (and yes, I’m definitely one of those people who loves to soak their empanada in sauce 😅!). The empanada was a great size, stuffed with filling, and best of all: it only cost $2.50. I was completely satisfied with just one.
Definitely recommend Ají Picante la 19 if you’re in the area and looking for a quick, delicious, and affordable breakfast. I’ll definitely be back soon!

Hoy el día comenzó bastante temprano, ya que tenía algunas diligencias que atender desde bien temprano en la mañana. Como no había tenido tiempo de desayunar en casa, decidimos hacer una parada y probar un sitio nuevo: Ají Picante la 19. Este lugar está completamente dedicado a las empanadas, y ¡qué variedad tienen! Me costó un poco decidirme porque el menú es bastante amplio, pero al final me fui por una empanada de cordon bleu y un jugo de mora para acompañar. Una de las cosas que más me gustó del sitio fue la cantidad de salsas que ofrecen: varias opciones, todas con buen sabor y en buena cantidad (¡porque sí, yo soy de las que ama bañar la empanada en salsa 😅!). La empanada tenía un muy buen tamaño, con bastante relleno, y lo mejor de todo: costaba solo 2.5$. Quedé completamente satisfecha con una sola. Definitivamente, Ají Picante la 19 es una excelente opción si estás por la zona y quieres un desayuno rápido, sabroso, y a buen precio. ¡Seguro repito pronto!
