Winter is coming to an end, so I'm bringing you one last winter tradition.Winter means different traditions in our country.Just as vegetables are available in our regions during winter, various cake/pitha festivals are held.Today I will show you traditional.

This is a winter tradition and this is a winter dish.This is a festive dish.This is a pitha.Yes, this pitha is made only in winter.This dish is only for winter because it cannot be made in summer.Winter is incomplete without this food.Yes, it is a pitha and it requires date molasses and milk to make it.It is very delicious and fun.

There is no house that does not make this pitha during winter.This pitha is traditionally made in every house during winter.I have been seeing this since childhood as a tradition of our country and region.When I was a child, I used to see our family members going to relatives' houses to eat this pitha.In turn, various relatives would come to our house to eat this pitha.

We used to invite them to eat this pitha.When it starts getting very cold, the festival of eating this pitha begins.Only in winter is the sap available on date palm trees and jaggery is made from that sap.This date molasses plays the biggest role in making this pitha.Everyone wants to eat this fresh date molasses pitha in winter.Cow milk is needed with molasses.

To make this, we first need rice powder, cow's milk and date molasses.These will be combined to make Chitoi Pitha.Then milk Chitoi will be made.First we will fry the chitoi pitha in an earthen pot and in an earthen oven.To make Chitoi Pitha, all you need is rice flour.Then we will mix the milk and date molasses together using fire.

Once the chitoi pithas are fried, we will soak them in that milk overnight.We have already mixed jaggery in milk, that means date molasses.I will soak it overnight and eat it in the morning which is very tasty and delicious.I made this traditional winter pitha tonight.But I didn't share this pitha on Hive this year, so I shared it again tonight.
