Homemade Lilac Sugar

in #food14 days ago

Hi Guys!

In the Summer I prepared this and only now I got the chance to edit the vlog and share you. It is nice to use on tea! You can use for baking as well, but in tea either hot or iced, you can taste and smell the lilac much better.

Let the sugar scenting (is that a word? 🤣) with the lilac for a week, every couple of days you want to shake it, so it doesn't clump. If you want to leave it for a couple of weeks for stronger scent, you would want to remove the petals and replace them with new picked lilac.

Sugar as much as you want - like how big the jar you want to fill
Freshly picked cleaned lilac (watch the vlog), as many as you like, balancing with the sugar amount

Lay some lilac petals, sprinkle top with sugar, repeat the layering

And that is it!

You can leave the lilac without replacing them, however they will turn browning. If that happens, guess what, the sugar smell and taste slightly like banana! 😉 - Tried and True 😉

Enjoy!

Flavouring sugar is yet another thing that would have never entered my head XD
