Hi Friends,
One of my neighbors dog, idk which house, which dog, has been crying for like 10 minutes now. I wonder what's happening. Sounds so sad. But idk which house. I live by intersection, 4 streets in different ways, and dogs can be so loud regardless how far they are from where I live, so it can be tricky finding out which house this sad dog is from 😅
Back to recipe share. The following savory fried bread is great to be served as is, with a fresh bird eye chilies, especially green ones, or with your favorite sauce like sweet chili sauce. Delicious 😊
250 g flour
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp quick rise yeast
1 egg
100 ml coconut milk
1/2 tsp salt
3 garlic
1 pandan leaf
2 shallots
2 tbsp coconut milk
1 tsp olive oil
1 tbsp olive oil
1/8 tsp ground coriander
1/8 tsp sweet paprika powder
Lemon basil leaves
2 cans tuna flakes
Sugar, salt, white pepper powder, cayenne powded, MSG (if using), to taste
Enough coconut milk (might have said oil in the vlog)
Vegetable oil for frying
Mix flour, sugar, yeast in a bowl, then pour in coconut milk, followed with salt, knead. Cover with cling wrap and let rest for at least 30 minutes
Meanwhile, let's prepare the filling
Mix garlic, shallot, pandan leaf, coconut milk, and olive oil in food processor, into fine paste. Pour paste into a pan, add more olive oil, along with ground coriander and sweet paprika powder. Saute til fragrant
Add in drained tuna flakes, coconut milk, seasoning and basil. Cook until liquid absorbed and filling kinda dry. Take off from heat, cool to room temperature
Divide dough into portions, roll flat, and place filling in center, seam to seal. Let rest for 20-30 minutes, or until doubled in size
Fry in medium heat, until golden brown, turning once
Enjoy!
