Let’s be clear: not every homemade "dish" ends up Instagram-worthy… but that’s exactly where the fun begins! I used "..." on dish word because I failed in baking simple puff pastry snack, yeah, that's me. 🤦🏼♀️
Žu-žu is actually one of the easiest things you can make at home, especially when you use the frozen store-bought version. All you need is:
~ Frozen puff pastry Žu-žu cubes
~ An egg for brushing 🥚
~ A sprinkle of sesame seeds
~ An oven heated to 220°C 🔥
That’s it. Zero skills required. Just brush, sprinkle, bake, and enjoy. So, I followed the steps. The oven was preheated, the egg wash was perfectly brushed on, sesame seeds sprinkled… and I was already picturing myself proudly sharing golden, fluffy, harmonika-like Žu-žu bites. [harmonika = accordion instrument]
But then… I made the rookie mistake > I opened the oven halfway through baking. xD
Big no-no. Huge!
The result? My Žu-žu didn’t rise like a fluffy harmonica. Instead, it collapsed like a deflated balloon at a sad birthday party. To make matters worse, it also got a little too cozy with the heat and ended up slightly burnt. Big no x 2. xD
Here’s me, smiling bravely with my “masterpiece” because hey! - burnt or flat, food is still food!
Thanks for reading my stupid cooking fails. ♥️
