Today I visited Zen Coffee. The shop opened only one week ago. It is near Phu Lo market. I went there at 8 a.m. Normally in the morning coffee shops are quiet. Many people like to drink coffee in the afternoon or evening. But this shop already had many customers.
When I walked in, it was cool and clean. The design is modern and simple. Tables and chairs are neat. The light is bright.
Outside the shop there is a big board with the menu. You can see all drinks and prices before you go in. I think this is good. Many shops hide the menu, but this shop shows it big and clear.
I saw “Coconut matcha” on the menu. I thought it was fresh coconut water mixed with matcha. I ordered it. But when I got the drink, it was different. The cup had three layers: green bean at the bottom, milk in the middle, and matcha on top. I could not taste coconut at all. I thought maybe they made the wrong drink. But later I checked the menu again and saw they only have two matcha drinks, so this was the one I ordered.
For me, the taste is like milk matcha, not coconut matcha. The price is 30,000 VND. There is no topping. But the cup design looks nice and modern.
The drink prices are from 25,000 to 35,000 VND. The space is cool and clean.
But I have to say the staff were not professional. When I ordered, they were talking to each other and laughing. They did not focus on customers. No smile, no greeting. For me, service is more important than the drink.
Maybe this is because the shop is new. But I think the owner should train the staff better.
In short:
- Space: cool, clean, modern.
- Menu: big board outside, good price.
- Drink: coconut matcha not like I expected.
- Service: not good.
I will not come back for now. Maybe I will try again later to test other drinks.
