I was looking through the tokens on Hive-Engine to see if anyone had already created a $BURGER token, LOL.

I figured that by now there would be a ton of tokenized food on Layer 2, but to my surprise, there isn’t any token related to burgers yet. So now I’m thinking of setting one up just for fun. But then I’m having doubts about whether it would even gain any traction, considering how rough things are on Hive right now. I bet users are already exhausted and don’t have many resources left to invest in another silly token.

Even just looking at HE tokens, you’ll realize that about 99% of them are no longer being used or traded. The ones still surviving are also having a difficult time. Although there are tokens like $LEO and $SPS, and a few others, that are still gaining some momentum, that’s only because they’re putting a lot of work into their products to earn community support. I hope they manage to get through these tough times in the crypto world until the next bullish season.

Anyway, back to the real world, the reason I started checking if there was a $BURGER token on Hive-Engine is because I’ve begun a routine of posting #BurgerSaturday! And last night, I had a nice Quarter Pounder from Chops & Sears!

My previous order was their Double Smashed Burger, which I also enjoyed, but I wanted to give the QP a try as well. Of course, a thick patty has a distinct flavor compared to smashed patties, and the juiciness is expected because the patty is thick and compact, so the meat juices don’t escape as easily.
Usually, I treat myself to a nice burger whenever I feel good about the market, but I realized that it shouldn’t be tied to market performance. Instead, it should be something I enjoy because I earned it, a reward for a job well done both in real life and on my Hive journey. I believe we should all pat ourselves on the back for staying active on the platform despite the current market conditions. It’s a difficult time for every crypto project to survive, since many of them usually take a back seat or even fail to continue operating during bear seasons, but I’m not really worried about Hive. We’ve gone through tougher times, and the community still thrived in terms of development and kept the chain running smoothly.
Have you noticed any major disruption to Hive during previous bear seasons? I don’t think there has ever been any significant suspension of the blockchain. Sure, there were frontend issues and API server disruptions, but since there were enough API servers available, things were quickly restored without causing any damage to user accounts or funds.
By the way, just a reminder that Hardfork 28 is happening on the 19th of November. So of course, we may expect some halts and hiccups on the blockchain and the Hive frontends. This is normal since Witnesses are scattered around the world and need to coordinate despite communication barriers, so let’s expect minor difficulties and stay patient, fellow Hivers.
Anyway, enjoy the rest of your Sunday! And have a burger if you wish, LOL.

That’s all from me for today and my burger-fueled reflections. May your week be productive and your meals delicious. The market may not always be kind, but at least burgers never disappoint. Keep your spirits high and your patties juicy. Catch you all on the next #BurgerSaturday!
