Pretty much any activity is beer-worthy if you try enough and long weekends make it even more the case. You are invited to leave a huge upvote and join our friend @detlev to create your own #beersaturday post with the gang! So glad to have found a home with beer drinkers across the world on my favourite blockchain.
For week 433, I am enjoying soaking in the last that late summer has to offer and enjoying a few fall cottage beers along the way

The pint of the week is generally out on the town or in a social setting with friends. Definitely the case this week as I enjoyed a true #beersaturday pint "I would like a really big IPA!" I have got pretty large mitts which look rather small on this big old Bubble Stash IPA. Perfect to go along with a little hockey watching at a local sports bar while catching a couple friends play a live acoustic set of tunes.

Cottage Beers!
New followers can check back a few days ago to catch the whole tale of our last visit to the cottage where this beauty was enjoyed. Many of the breweries in the small towns up in cottage country are referred to as cottage breweries and.....when in Rome... Muskoka is so synonymous with cottage, those typical wooden cottage chairs are referred to as Muskoka Chairs. So, I had to grab a Musoka Brewery IPA when up north.
Before I popped this Hazed & Confused Juicy IPA into my metal yeti cooler with the nametag on it, I had to get some shots of the label. A little mystic and bilingual lore on the can with little mention of what to expect with the beer. Good thing I have had it before and know what to expect. The website has it about right with the tasting notes:
🔸 FLAVOUR - Sweet, malty profile lends a soft silky mouthfeel while the hops give a juicy kick.
🔸 AROMA- Bursting with fruit hop aroma, hints of citrus.
🔸FINISH - Soft citrusy finish.
Solid at 6.5% ABV and went down fast on a thirsty afternoon by the lake.

As a bonus Cottage Beer, here is Boshkung Campfire Rye Ale! that was brewed right in the town closest to the cottage. Presenting smoothness and a hint of spice from the portion of rye in the malt bill, this red ale also features smoky undertones due in part to a blend of oak-smoked wheat malt. Finishes with a touch of warmth to ease the transition to cooler days I enjoyed this one on one of those cooler nights beside the camp fire that looked a little like this...

Brewing Beer!
We have a practice among our brewing group that we bring home beers from our various trips to share while we are brewing. As product research of course! Our head brewer brought this one back from 5e Baron Microbrasserie in Gatineau Quebec. Perfect for a brewing session as our Blue Jays were playing the Boston Red Sox at the time and that is the region we can thank for all of the awesome New England IPAs we enjoy.
Not impressed with te warning taking the place of a description of the beer but I love the listing and proportion of the Hops used in this delicious beer. We are fixing to brew a 1-off NEIPA with Nectaron and Cashmere hops in the future as this was a nice, citrussy treat with plenty of ABV at 7%.
Love the guest beers while brewing our own!
