A New UI & Community Project For Hive - Ureka Is Back!

Hey everyone,

I've been pretty busy here lately, building the latest iteration of the Ureka community. You may have come across the Ecency based Ureka/Hive site that's been running at Ureka.org for a while, but I have not been well positioned to customise it in code, so it's been static since I created it. Now though, I have new tools and am building an exciting custom Hive site for Ureka.

For those that don't know, Ureka was a social network I used to run, before Hive and Steem existed - known as the Earth Heart Community. I originally created it to share my books and writing in a way that I could own and shape myself - freely. Unfortunately, it was secretly blacklisted by Google and effectively de-indexed - so it was very hard to get visitors. I moved to Steem and then shut it down when Justin Sun had his Wuhan Covid fun with our community... Now, though, it's back.

Check out my overview video below. I'm aiming to get it live in the next couple of weeks and to then start adding in cutting edge features that don't exist elsewhere on Hive (or on the web!) - stay tuned!

What will be the focus going forward?

Excellent. I will make another post on that topic soon. I want to maximise and optimise the usefulness of social media, when it comes to accelerating understanding, compassion, wisdom balance and ultimately human evolution.
So that is a combination of sharing information about censored and denied people and topics, plus providing useful tools of many kinds that can help people to liberate themselves.
It's a tall order, but hive provides a good foundation to build on.
