In such a hot summer as we have this year, it is worth taking care of water for the birds that visit our garden.
I prepared a 15 cm diameter dish for them and poured a few stones inside so that the container would be stable when the bird sat on the edge. And also so that the birds can stand in the middle and splash in the cool water. Of course, the water level is about 1 cm higher than the stones.
I placed this container with water on the composter, under an apple tree (birds often live there), so that it was in the shade all the time. In my opinion, this is the most practical place to do it.
As you can see in the photos, the small birds (and the sparrows that arrived later) love this kind of fun. The spilled water around the pool was their doing. 😆
In winter, I will leave food for birds in the same place. This will help the birds get used to one place.

W tak gorące lato, jakie mamy także w tym roku, warto zadbać o wodę dla ptaków, które odwiedzają nasz ogród.
Przygotowałem im naczynie o średnicy 15 cm i nasypałem do środka kilka kamieni, po to by pojemnik był stabilny, gdy ptak usiądzie na brzegu. A także, by ptaki mogły stanąć na środku i popluskać się w chłodnej wodzie. Oczywiście, poziom wody jest około 1 cm wyżej niż kamienie.
Ten pojemnik z wodą postawiłem na kompostowniku, pod jabłonią (na niej często przebywają ptaki), by był przez cały czas w cieniu. Według mnie jest to najbardziej praktyczne miejsce na to.
Jak widać na zdjęciach, sikorki (a także wróble, które poźniej też przyleciały) uwielbiają taką zabawę. Ta rozlana woda wokół basenu to ich robota. 😆
Zimą w tym samym miejscu będę zostawiał pokarm dla ptaków. Dzięki temu ptaki przyzwyczają się do jednego miejsca.
