Just one glass of good beer is enough for refreshment

This morning, while the beach in Petrovac was still empty, I sat and went over in my head the route I would take to Belgrade.

I know that I had about 8 hours of driving ahead of me, so I immediately suggested where we would take breaks, where to drink coffee and where to have lunch.

Every time I go to this region, I like to stop by Zlatibor and make sure to have lunch at one of the restaurants in Čačak, which are famous for their grilled meats.

I said goodbye to this beautiful beach, packed my luggage in the car and we set off.

After 6 hours of driving and a break in Podgorica and Zlatibor, we reached Čačak.
In the restaurant "Kod Brana" we ordered a very simple dish "pig roast", and when I went to the toilet to freshen up, my attention was drawn to the installation that is why I am advertising in the #beer community this Saturday, in the #beersaturday challenge.

A very interesting cart for pouring beer, according to the "all in one" principle.
I had never heard of this beer before, so while the waiter poured me one glass (only one because I knew I was going to drink more than one, since I knew that after lunch I had almost two hours of driving ahead of me), I questioned him about the beer he was pouring.

It is an crat home-made Charlton lager beer, which arrives from Čačak.
And it is not surprising that I did not have the opportunity to see and drink it somewhere, because for now it is only delivered to five bars in Čačak and its surroundings.

Restaurant "Kod Brana" is the second restaurant that offers this beer, after the famous inn "Mladost", where it has been served since 2018.
Charlton lager is made according to a traditional recipe and follows the strict principles of purity and quality characteristic of premium craft brewing.
Since the creation of the recipe in 2018, the beer has been brewed in service breweries, and last year, they transferred production to their own brewery, equipped with state-of-the-art equipment that guarantees quality.
As Charlton is delivered only to Čačak, that table did not travel kilometers and days from the brewery to my glass, it guaranteed me very fresh beer and nice taste.

Charlton lager consists of four completely natural ingredients, without artificial additives, preservatives or process accelerators: water, barley malt, hops and yeast.
Through the combination of carefully selected malts, in addition to the basic malt, the influence of caramel malt can be felt, which gives this lager a slightly sweeter and fuller biscuit-like texture, which sets it apart from industrial lagers.
Hops are responsible for the pleasant, moderate bitterness and fresh aroma.
The beer is perfectly balanced so that the hop notes perfectly balance the sweetness of the malt.
Bottom-fermenting yeast (characteristic of lager beer) is used, which ensures a clean, clear finish and high drinkability after a long period of aging.

By combining these ingredients, a Premium light lager was obtained, with 4.8% alcohol and a moderate, pleasant bitterness of 23 IBU.

Well chilled, with a thick persistent foam, it was pleasing to the eye as well as to the taste, and I drank it down in a few sips, even before the roast pig was served to us.

Short-term, but I enjoyed drinking this beer and I'm sure, if they don't expand the distribution to Belgrade, I'll gladly stop by every time I'm passing through Čačak to refresh myself with Chartlon homemade beer.
